Privacy and redaction

Find emails, keys, card numbers and faces, and blur them for good in every export.

Scan for private details

Open Privacy in the Studio, or ask Zumi to “blur anything private”. ZumCast reads the screen on your Mac and finds:

  • Email addresses and phone numbers
  • Card numbers and IBANs
  • API keys and other secrets
  • IP addresses
  • Faces
  • Money amounts and names, only when you turn them on

Check what was found, untick anything you want to keep, and apply.

Blur, pixelate or a bar

Choose Blur, Pixelate or a solid bar. In video, the mask follows the text as the page scrolls. Masks are burnt into every export: the hidden part is never in the file.

To hide something by hand, add a Blur, Pixelate or Redact bar prop, or use the Blur tool (B) in the shot editor.

Guides and project types

You can hide individual guide steps in the guide editor. The Bug report project type runs a privacy scan automatically.

Nothing is uploaded

Finding private details happens on your Mac. Nothing is sent anywhere to look for secrets.
