What’s free, what Pro adds, and how to activate, move or free a licence.
Basic and Pro
Basic is free with no time limit: unlimited recording and editing, auto-zoom, angles, props, screenshots, markup, wallpapers, pins, brand kits and organising. Pro is a one-time purchase with no subscription. See Pricing for the current price.

Activate Pro
- Buy Pro on zumcast.com. Your licence key arrives by email from Dodo Payments.
- In ZumCast, open Settings › Licence.
- Paste the key into Paste your licence key and press Activate.
Pro turns on right away. Exports, Zumi and everything else unlock with no restart.
Use it on more than one Mac
One key works on up to 3 Macs. To move it to a new Mac, press Deactivate on this Mac… in Settings › Licence on the old one, or free a Mac at Manage your Macs.
Offline
ZumCast checks your licence about once a day. Being offline never turns Pro off.
Updates and upgrades
Pro includes every update to the version you bought. When a new major version comes out, upgrading is optional at $9 a year; if you don’t, your version keeps working.
If activation fails
- Key not found: check you copied the whole key from the email.
- Already on 3 Macs: free one first (see above).
- Turned off: the key was refunded or revoked. Contact us if that’s a mistake.
- A different product: the key isn’t for ZumCast Pro.
